My life in a few short paragraphs!

not much to do just now, so i suppose i will update this thing again.

saturday... went to james' for about 1pm and bumped into marsailidh and eilidh on the way there, then met dora and walked through the woods to james. andrew was already there when we arrived, then megan and sam turned up and then susan and kirsty came a bit after that. sat around talking and stuff, then the conversation turned to politics so i sat and read my book cause i really didn't know what they were on about as i am quite stupid. then we walked along to the church hall in d mains and met up with peter and katie to do some of the filming. jenni and graeme also came to see us and martin turned up later and went straight to the chippy. eventually we were ready and did the bits that we needed to get done and i annoyed andrew with the fact that i'd won. then i got pissed off at andrew for some things he said and was rather upset about it (almost cried at the bus stop, how embarrassing would that have been) but what does that matter. got on the 41 nearer half seven and went into town then got another bus along the road a bit to save time then walked down to the mission, put my bag in the cloakroom and found caroline and alisdair.danced around a bit and then sat around a bit, just the usual really. saw jason but he didn't really aknowledge me, plus he'd found a prettier, thinner person to hang around so...then we met alan and sean and some other people on the wall outside and went up to near hunter's square and stood around chatting for a while, then got the 26 home.

sunday...went to the park for 2 and did some more filming, then went down to andrew's house to do susan and martin's parts that were still left to do. then i popped back to susan's for her to get changed and we got the bus in to town and met callum and stood in the queue for the belle and sebastian concert that we were going to in the gardens just after 6. eventually we got in and sat down till after 7 when the support act (camera obscura) started and then belle and sebastian didn't come on till nearer half 8, but it was so worth the wait cause they were amazing!! even though i didn't actually know any of their songs. afterwards hopped on a 26 and then got some chips for tea on the way home.

yesterday, nothing much happened, was still not speaking to andrew so he was trying to find out why but i couldn't be bothered to tell him, if he couldn't figure it out for himself then whats the point so today i just gave him a note and basically said that it was all my fault and he had done nothing wrong, i was was just a horrible person and was in a bad mood (i forgot just how used, i am, to giving that speech), so he probably feels better about it now, (not that he was really bothered in the first place) so that's sorted. 

ahh! physics nab tomorrow, oh dear!

also found out that i have stuff to do every saturday for like the next seven weeks (apart from 2) which is really good, cause they are all going to be really fun, marsailidh's bbq this week, then ross noble, then a free saturday, then my party, then another free day, then marsailidh's party and then martin's the week after. i'm rather looking forward to all of these things, so that'll be good. (see i am cheering up for once)

rightio, i know i said i would do this update weeks ago but unfortunately i never really got round to it, so now all the stuff has mounted up, i hope it doesn't turn out too long, but i'm sure i will forget loads anyway knowing me. so here it goes... (by the way this is one very long entry so you don't have to bother reading it)

Friday 30th June
It was the last day of school (5th year) today which was very good but unfortunately i still had to go in becasue i had to go to the prizegiving thing to get my 2 prizes! first ones ever so was quite pleased about that, i got the dux in geology and also the prize for engineering technology which was basically for my folio for higher graphics. hung around with susan, james and katie in Miss Bebb's room for a while in the morning then went down to one of the music rooms where all the prizewinners had to go just after 9. it was absolutely roasting, thought i was going to pass out but eventually we went into the hall and managed to get some air by waving the wee leaflet thing in front of my face for most of the prizegiving so that helped a little bit. So, ehm, where was i, oh yeah, was sitting next to james and then they did all the speeches and prozes and what not. Mrs Laing (my old ICT teacher from 1st year) was giving them out and it was so wierd cause she remembered me when i went up for mine. then there was the rector's speech which was more like a book. eventually it was finished but it was pouring down with rain so i walked to the bus stop as quick as possible and saw caroline and kirsty who were getting the bus to dora's house. i got the bus to my nan's, had some lunch and then went to dora's house for just after 2 after waiting on the 38 for a while.  kirsty, caroline, katie, martin and obviously dora were already there and they had operation out along with sweets and stuff. then everyone had a go at playing the piano and caroline left a bit after that. i think megan came round later on and we went on the pc and talked to john on the webcam which was funny. marsailidh and jenni came round even later on and kirsty, katie and i all went to get the bus home.

Saturday 1st July
can't remember what i did during the day today but at night time most of us went to marsailidh's house and had a natter as always, it was also a sort of early party for katie's birthday and marsailidh made a cool cake in the shape of a butterfly which was really tasty, and was quite funny cause it made all out tongues and lips turn blue. as usual i was clumsy and spilt pepsi or it may have been diet coke/regular coke on the rug so i spent a while trying to soak up all the juice with some kitchen roll. so that was a lot of fun and then we all started going home.

Monday 3rd July
was katies birthday so my nan dropped me off up town just after 11 so i could go shopping for her present, i was finished at about half past so i went and sat at the steps next to the gallery where i was meeting katie, james, kirsty and caroline, i think so that i could wrap everything in tissue and put it in the bag and so on. it was funny cause i was trying to do that whilst holding up my brolley with my ear so i was in a bit of a muddle. so yeah, i met them all at about 12 and we went to burger king for something to eat, i had a double cheeseburger meal but after eating some of it i just felt sick so i had to put it in the bin. then we went around clothes shops and stuff and then the bookshop and some games shops and then we went to starbucks for a drink and got the bus home as far as i remember.

Thursday 6th July
today was such an amazing day!! release date for Pirates of the Carribean 2 : Dead Man's Chest!! i booked 9 tickets for us for the showing at ocean terminal at about nine that night. met up with caroline, marsailidh, dora, kirsty, craig and dora's brother alan outside the omni after six and we went over to guilianos for tea. we ordered some garlic bread and it was quite funny because we kept changing the amount of garlic bread that we wanted. i had spaghetti carbonara and then a crepe for pudding, i felt really bad though cause i think i was talking too much so everyone was finished before i'd even eaten half of mine. so we finished there and then caught a bus to ocean terminal and hung around for a while before the film started and got some ben and jerry's ice cream to take in. eventually we were sitting in the cinema and then one of those pearl and dean adverts came on where it plays that really catchy tune and it was funny cause caroline and craig both started dancing away to it. so the film came on and it was so good!! best film i've seen in like forever!! then craig gave me a lift home in his car which was quite wierd but he actually drove really well, i think his dad must have thought i was a nutcase cause i just chatted the whole way back in the car about the film and about how usually the sequels are never better than the first one which was quite fun. 

i think this stuff happened between Tuesday 11th and Friday 14th July but i'm not exactly sure
went down to north berwick with my gran on the tuesday and picked up my cousin from kick boxing, then we got the train back to edinburgh and went to stay with my gran for a few nights. we ate quite a lot of cherries and watched tv and then went to bed. wednesday we went through to glasgow on the train and looked around the shops, my cousin got some books and shoes for getting a good report card and i got some books for getting my prizes. we went to costas and had a drink and a cake then looked at some more shops. we then went to tgi fridays for our tea before going back on the train. on thursday we went to see pirates of the carribean in the morning which was great! then we headed up town to drop off my cousin at her mum's uncles house i think where my aunty and my littlest cousin were. then i went along town with my gran and got some shoes and what not then we went to vittoria's for tea which we ate outside as it was really nice and sunny. then went back to my grans again and watched tv and went to bed. friday was really warm and sunny again so we walked along to the botanic gardens and just lounged about reading our books and doing puzzles after wandering around the gardens for a bit. we then walked to tescos and got some shopping and walked back to my grans where my dad picked me up after 5 and we went back to my nan's.

i think this was Monday 17th July but again i'm not sure
went through to north berwick with my gran and caroline. we went to my cousins house and just sat around not doing much for a while. we had pasta for lunch and then we went a walk down to the beach were we mucked around in the sea for a while and sat on the sand. caroline and i then had to practically run through the high street to the train station and we just made it but the guy at the train was really mean and joked with us saying that we were to late and couldn't get on even though the train hadn't started moving yet but he then told us just to get on. that was so mean of him to do that cause if we had missed that one then we would have had to wait another hour for the next one. caroline, i'm sorry again for my cousin keeping annoying you all day and calling you a chav she was just trying to show off a bit i think :)

Wednesday 19th - Thursday 20th July (i think)
met caroline and james up town at the steps next to the galleries in the afternoon. caroline was wanting to get the bus to matalan but we decided james probably wouldn't fancy that so when we met him we decided to go down to ocean terminal instead. we wandered around some shops, caroline and i went to new look whilst james was in game. then we went to hmv and bought some dvds and stuff, caroline and i went halfers on a national lampoon dvd and i bought uncle buck cause it was on sale. then we went to waterstones and bought some books, which i didn't really need cause i have way too many but i just can't help myself. we got a drink form the wee newsagent type bit and then hopped on a 22 back to my nan's. we got off a bit early and went for chips which we ate in the house whilst waiting on the pizza to cook. we then watched some of the national lampoons dvd but gave up on it after a while and sat on the pc, then my dad gave james a lift home and dropped caroline and i off at carolines house so i could stay over. i took my bottle of absolut with me so we had some of tat wiht lemonade while watching uncle buck which was really funny. absolut really isn't good for you, you know, we could hardly sit up without falling over which was quite amusing and we hadn't even had that much. after the film we went to bed and then had an incident when caroline droppd her flashing duck on the floor in the dark. then talked a wee bit before nodding off.  got up on thursday and had shower, got dressed etc watched some jerry springer/jeremy kyle, can't remember which and then got the 26 cause i was going back to my nan's and caroline was going to possibly be heading out to penicuk. spent the rest of the sitting around the house thinking about doing some work.

Friday 21st July
met caroline at the omni and we went to see The Break Up, it was quite funny in places but the ending leaves you wondering about what happens a bit. the adverts at the start were wierd because there was this clip which didn't seem like a trailer that was on for what seemed like ages and i thought that maybe it was the film and then it came up saying that it was just a clip from some upcoming film but it was really boring. so we watched the film and then got on the 26 and went back home again.

Saturday 22nd - Sunday 23rd July
my dad and i went down to north berwick. it was my uncle's birthday so my aunty was taking him out on satuday night and my dad and i were babysitting my 2 cousins. we went down in the afternoon and we went down to the video store and rented confessions of a teenage drama queen to watch before we went to bed then went back to the house and had spaghetti bolognese for tea. i went on the pc whilst they watched telly then we got ready for bed and watched the film and then actually went to bed. got up in the morning had breakfast and got ready. went to the beach and then went to the seabird centre for lunch before taking my cousins home and then coming back to edinburgh.

Tuesday 25th - Wednesday 26th July
stayed at my gran's again on tuesday night with my cousin after bringing her back from kickboxing again. we played this board game that we always used to play when we were much younger, it is amazing although it is basically just snakes and ladders but with a beatrix potter (or whatever it's called) theme. then on wednesday we met my dad at the bus station and we got the bus through to glasgow and spent the day wandering around the glasgow science centre. in the afternoon we went to that imax cinema thing where it's all in 3d. it was quite wierd and it really hurt my eyes so i had to keep closing them. apart from that and apart from the story of the film being really rubbish it was rather good. then we got a bus back through again i went back to my nan's with my dad whilst my gran took my cousin back to her house so her mum could pick her up.

Friday 28th July (possibly)
had some people round at my nan's house today to chat and watch videos and what not, just tyring to remember who was there. i think that day it was caroline, kirsty, james, martin and susan but i'm not entirely sure. we watched donnie darko and then caroline had to leave cause she was busy. then we watched bill bailey i think and then something else possibly. we watched ghost busters whilst eating our tea that we ordered from pizza hut. craig came round about halfway through, after he finished work. martin left quite soon after that cause he had to cycle home, and i was being a spoil sport because my knees were killing me so i had to take some neurofen liquid capsules and sit with a hot water bottle on them which only made me too hot and feeling like i was going to faint. then craigs dad came with the car so he could drive home and i think susan's dad picked everyone else up.

Saturday 29th July

today we got up early and then i went to the Airshow at east fortune with my dad and my nan. we had to sit in a big line of traffic waiting to get into the place which was boring then we got in and parked and looked around the exhibits and stalls and stuff which was ok. we went back to the car for lunch then came and found a patch of grass to sit on waitng on the planes to come overhead. we had an ice cream and my dad bought some of models that you build yourself. then we sat for quite a few hours whilst loads of different planes flew around in the sky, some of them were really cool and i was trying to take photos but most of them were blurry because the planes were too fast for the camera. my nan and i had a wee look around the craft fair and she bought me this really pretty purple bracelet that was made out of "vintage" jewellery. it's so cool. then some more planes went over and we then had to sit for over an hour just about in a queue trying to get ut of the place again.

Friday 4th August (possibly)
had soem people round again. this time i think it was susan, james and kirsty. we had some food and watched saw which had some amazingly bad actors in it aswell as house on haunted hill which i think is such a good film , although i'm not sure if everyone else was as convinced as i was about it. i think that was all we did that day as my nan wanted everyone away before tea time, but it was still a laugh.

Saturday 5th August

was supposed to be going to the mission with caroline and james and hazel and her french person but when i met up with james and caroline hazel wasn't there. turns out she was still at home and her french person didn't want to come any more. but eventually hazel said she would come so we met her inside at out usual space at the side. it was wierd because it had changed it's name to sanctuary and there was air conditioning and little seats and these 2 big projector screens with wierd lord of the rings scenes and various other bits and pieces. so yeah, that was fun, danced and bit and sat around a bit, then pulled this guy called jaime we think which was rather bizarre for me, and which made caroline very excited which was quite funny to watch cause she was jumping really high. oh yeah, rab was there as well at the start but he was really kinda drunk and unfortunatly got taken home because of it. but we still had a good night.

Monday 7th August
went to carolines and then walked down to james for the camping meeting. james, kirsty and megan were there. caroline left after one i think and then we watched star wars and i left after three and went to get a bus home.

Tuesday 8th August
sue's birthday!! got her a wierd picture of a dog holding an umbrella and both the dog and the umbrella were made out of fruit which was quite cool. oh yeah, it was also the day we got our results so that was quite bad cause i didn't sleep much at all the night before so i was quite knackered and just felt sick all morning, but they came just after nine and i got what i expected: A-Graphics, A-Physics, B-Maths, B-Geology and a C-English. after i got them i went to my grans to pick up my new school tie and then went up to my nan's to wrap sue's present and then hopped along the road to the bus stop, but it just so happen that craig was passing in his car so he gave me a lift in to town caue we were all meeting at starbucks. when we got there sue was standing outside so we did aswell then a while later kirsty came out from inside and it turns out that they were all sitting down the stairs. so i got a frappacino and a biscuit and we were chatting rather noisily as usual and were getting some funny looks from people. then we find out that andrew either jumped into the wall near the toilets or was pushed by megan and made a massive hole in the wall so we had a look on the way out and the hole was almost the size of him so we scarpered. we all went to sainsbury's to get some food for our camping trip, had quite a few basketfuls and we were all standing about trying to decide what exactly we were getting. so we paid for that and then a few of us went to the omni centre (mars, sue, dora, andrew, caroline and me) cause we were going to go to the cinema but there wasn't really anything on so we just loitered outside pizza hut and chatted whilst waiting on jenni to turn up. then sue went home because she was going for a meal so the rest of us went for pizza. afterwards we went to waterstones and then we all went back to marsailidh's except for andrew who jumped on the bus home. we sat at marsailidh's for a bit and then my dad picked up carolien and me after 9 and took us to craigs house. becky was already there when we arrived and then his friend iain (i think) came who we haven't seen for like 2 years, couldn't believe that it had actually been that long. we were going to watch fight club but gave up a bit, then watched lost and then some of fight club again. caroline and me then walked along the road back to hers after 11 and thought we were going to get murdered cause we felt bad if we had to get craigs dad to give us a lift late at night cause he was busy. they we got to the bus stop at carolines cause i was going to get the 26 but had just missed the last one by like 10 minutes so i had to phone my dad to come and pick me up. i borrowed carolines sleeping bag for camping but then decided not to go when i got home cause i just really didn't think it would be my kind of think and i didn't want to spoil it for everyone else so i text james and then i went to my bed.

 Wednesday 9th - Friday 11th August
cause i said i wasn't going camping i just got up and did the usual stuff around the house and had some breakfast/lunch etc. then marsailidh called me to ask when she was picking me up so i had to tell her that i wasn't going and she wasn't best pleased but eventually after she said "fine, bye" and hung up the phone i decided to go so she said her dad would pick me up at 4 that day. this was after 1 so i didn't have much time but i managed to run around the house and get everything sorted out, then went to tesco's with my nan to get plastic dishes and also my nan wanted to do a mini shopping anyway. so we got back to the house and i packed up everything that i needed into my dad's rucksack and put the sleeping bag/pillow/blanket into a plastic bag. then marsailidh and her dad came to pick me up so i put my stuff into their car and we went to marsailidhs to wait a while before picking up megan and dora. watched some telly and marsailidh had her shower and got herself ready, and after 6 we set off and picked up megan and dora (the car was then really full of camping stuff which was fun) and then set off to the campsite at Leven were kirsty, james, martin and katie were already waiting. we got there at about half 7 and then megan, dora and me had some pasta which katie helped us to cook on her camping stove. we shoved our stuff into the wee compartments that we had been given to sleep in and then we just stayed up chatting and playing strip poker (although no one really stripped that much) until near 3 o clock in the morning, although james and kirsty had gone to bed between 11 and 12 after having some water becasue they had both been feeling ill. after they left the rest of us all squeezed into katie and dora's bedroomy bit and just talked and made up some rules for the tent and wrote a letter to susan becasue she couldn't come. then eventually we all went to our own beds and sort of went to sleep. thursday morning i woke up before 7 and just sat in the little middle bit of the tent cause i couldn't find the bathroom key so i just waited until katie got up becasue she had the key with her. then we sorted out breakfast (cereal) and then i think some people went to do the washing up. we spent most of the day at the beach. katie, kirsty, dora and me walked right out to where the sea was and went for a little jaunt along it whilst the sand turned into jelly which was strange. then most people started writing in the sand and building sandcastles and i got my legs buried in the sand and i couldnt move them because all that sand was rather heavy. eventually i got out and was covered in sand so shortly fterwards we went back to the tent and i went to the shower and washed my legs and rinsed my trousers out and then left them to dry outside the tent. some of us had pot noodles for lunch and some had cup a soup along with juice and crisps and some bread. then we went back to the beach and james, kirsty, dora and martin built a wall to keep out the sea but unfortunately they built it on the line where the sea would normally come to but i'm sure they still beat the sea :) i went in the water and got my other trousers wet and sandy and we saw loads of jellyfish that looked yucky and martin killed one by poking it with a stick. then we thought it was going to start raining so james, kirsty, megan and me went back to the tent and megan taught us how to play egyptian bumblebee (kinda like snap but with more rules), oh and at some point in the day we all played scrabble. so we were back at the tent and everyone else was at the beach then at some point we played football on the beach and then later on we went to the beach again and had our barbeque. james was cooking the sausages and he dropped a fair few then megan took over afterwards and dropped another one. i was doing the bacon on the other barbeque but it wasn't really cooking right, then i put on some burgers for megan and james. went back to the tent later on and had some water (i had to try and eat some crisps and bread and chocolate and stuff becuase everything was spinning a bit even though i hadn't had that much but i hadn't really had anything to eat) then played strip poker properly and the moved on to playing spin the bottle properly with the rest of the water altough i gave mine to marsailidh because i didn't think it would be a good idea for me to have more. so that was quite a fun night. then kirsty and james went to their tent and we all went into marsailidh's and martins for a while, i was quite tired so eventually i just went back to my own and fell asleep. friday we got up early because we were leaving that day, so we all got dressed and then had some bacon for breakfast and a few of us had a burger. then we started packing away our things and taking down the inside of the tent so that we could just sit in it. we played a spot of egyptian bumblebee and then sat our stuff out on the grass whilst the tent came down and got put away. james dad picked him up after ten along with kirsty, martin and dora, then katie's dad picked her up along with marsailidh, megan and me after half ten and gave us a lift home. i was so knackered that i kept nearly going to sleep all the way home but eventually i managed to stay awake and then i sat in the house for the rest of the day being tired but i woyldn't go to sleep cause otherwise i wouldn't sleep that night. all in all it was a really great camping holiday!!
